During Kalev Kärpuk's brilliant talk on gamification at Optimove Connect, he shared a brilliant study by Joseph Nunes and Xavier Dreze about the Endowed Progress Effect. The study found that people with stamps already on their card are much more likely to complete the cards, showing that when we feel like we’ve already made progress toward a goal, we’re more motivated to see it through.
